Yesterday was amazingly relaxing. I created a new sanctuary. A small room in the back of the Koinonia Thrift Store. The Thrift Store is a new ministry we started this semester. Apparently I'm the one who runs it. Manager, CEO? Whatever. So I'm one of the few who has a key to the place. It's super ghetto, but we're getting everything together real nice.

Back to the sanctuary I created. The Thrift Store has a back room that is all dark and dingy, the floor is really sloped to the left, no real light, etc. I set up a really ghetto card table pushed up against the wall to compensate for it's wobbles. I found a lamp in the thrift store with no lamp shade that works nicely. And voilá! My own quiet, cool (temperature wise), study area. I got so much work done in there. If I hadn't made a place like that I think I might have gone insane. It's hard for me to get everything finished with people around me all day. I love my Thrift Store job.

This week. Possibly the worst week of my life, and it will only get busier for the next eight weeks.

I could be teaching in China starting on the 28th of this month but I turned them down yesterday.

I wish I could just walk away from all of this, but God has me in Bible College to finish. The easy way isn't the best way.

After I'm finished I would rather die than have anything to do with CCBC. And that statement only begins to tap into how I feel.

On Saturday I got to go fishing with Tim and Ichigo. We were out there for some five hours without catching anything. Mega bummer, but it was still loads of fun being able to hang out. We also got pretty sun burned being out there all day. I think this monday we are going to go night fishing. I'm looking forward to that a lot. ( Read more... )

Yesterday I went fishing with Tim and みちお. We were out there for a good 5 hours and didn't catch a thing. It was fun though. Usually みちお goes fishing at night so I'm going to try to go with them at night sometime. Me and Tim got sunburned. He got it worse than me. My face is a little red and my feet got really dark. But Tim is really red and his shoulders are really bad. The sun only made him like night fishing that much more.

Other than that nothing special is happening. The weather is warming up and it's really beautiful.

The park by our house had been under construction for months, they are making it huge and amazing. I love going there at night.

Tomorrow everyone is going up north for a few days to just get away and spend time with Jesus. It's going to be good. I'll toss up some pictures when I get back.

Oh, and freshraj suggested writing a song about Jael from Judges 4:17-22. I'm thinking about it but I'm not sure. I'm surprised I'm actually considering it. What do you think?

Today we went to the big Peace Park/Museum thing. I went there last semester so I wasn't to excited about going. I'm going to have to get used to stuff like that though because I'm sure that we will be doing loads of the same old thing. New for the new students, old for the old.

I know I haven't posted anything about what I'm doing in a while. Mostly because I'm busy, but also because I'm not wasting my free time online as much as I used to. Praise God for that!

I got in just a couple hours ago. I spent a very very long time at custems. They don't like people coming over and over again without a visa. Even if what I am doing is totally legal. But luckly I had the DS to take up the time when they would leave me standing there. That thing is great.

The flights over here were really good as well. I met a couple of wonderful people on the plane from LA to Taipei. They totally reminded me about how great God is, not for any particular reason other than they were really nice Christians. What a great family I'm a part of! I really want to go to Malaysia now.

I found out that I need to get over 100 Chuck Tracks done before the semester starts. Otherwise I'm going to die.

It's good to be back here. I may write more later about the trip here. I may not.

I need tea.

So I'm in Osaka. The trip here was more eventful than I thought. I got on the plane in Naha as scheduled, but after about 20 minutes of flying it headed back to Naha. I didn't know this though because I was asleep. Imagine, if you will, my shock when I woke up to a sad voice telling us we have arrived in Naha because of some mechanical malfunction. I never realized how many people complain when things like this happen. It didn't bother me, but it was hard to not let everyone else get to me.

It turned out for the best though because the next flight I was on I sat next to this cool girl. She didn't speak much english but it was loads of fun. I need to study more Japanese.
